Berry Compote

Berries

Lemon juice

Sugar 


Bring to a boil

When it's foamy add a bit of butter to eliminate the foam.

Keep simmering until the berries pop

Remove from heat and let cool

It will thicken as it cools

It's best to make it the day before. Store in the fridge or freeze.

Great over ice cream, pound cake or angel food cake.
