Green bean bundles

1 large can (50oz) cut green beans
1 pound bacon
butter
brown sugar
toothpicks

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut bacon in half, take 4-5 green beans and wrap bacon around them, secure with toothpick and place on cookie sheet.. Continue until bacon is gone. Put a dab of butter on top of each bundle then sprinkle with brown sugar. Cook about 15 minutes or until bacon is brown. I usually cook the leftover green beans and use them to serve the bundles with. ENJOY!

Candied pecans

4 cups pecan halves-1 lb
1/2 cup water
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup sugar
1 tap of vanilla

Put sugar and water in frying pan, add cinnamon. Cook and stir on high about 2 minutes (until mixture begins to thicken) add nuts and vanilla. When juice gets thick or disappears, turn burner to low heat, continue to cook and stir until mixture adheres to nuts (will have a crystallized look to it). Spread out on wax paper and allow them to cool. Pecans will be kind of white and crunchy when cool. (This requires constant stirring, great way to work the arms)

Thanks Katrina Redman!

Are you kidding cake

1 box any flavor cake mix
3 eggs
1 can pie filling (any flavor)

Directions

1
In bowl, dump dry cake mix, eggs and pie filling. Stir together until well mixed. Bake in greased 9x13, 350 degrees for 35 minutes or test with toothpick for doneness.
2
NOTE: Pair flavors of cake mix and pie filling. Apple filling with maybe butter pecan cake mix. Cherry pie filling with a devil's food cake mix, etc. I enjoy a pineapple cake mix with blueberry filling.
3
FOR AN EXTRA INCH TO THE HIPS: Chop room temp cream cheese into chunks. Poke the chunks randomly into the batter after pouring it in the baking pan. Make sure the cheese is in deep. Continue to bake. I do this with a strawberry cake mix and strawberry filling and also the blueberry filling.
